Overview
In Tale of Crowns, guilds battle for supremacy through the Siege System. Instead of traditional Crown Wars on a separate battlegrounds map, sieges take place directly in the main city — meaning your guild's equipment, food supplies, and character stats all matter.
Note: The siege system is subject to change as it gets tweaked and balanced over time.
Starting a Siege
A siege begins when a challenger guild meets the criteria to contest the ruling guild's hold on the crown.
- When criteria are met, a challenger guild can initiate a siege on the castle.
- A Siege Event is scheduled for a set time.
- The current ruling guild becomes the defender and holds the throne by default.
Siege Structure
The siege operates on a timed capture system. Here's how it works:
60-Minute Window
Attackers have one hour to capture the throne
To win the siege, the attacking guild must:
- 1 Take control of the throne area
- 2 Hold it continuously for 10 minutes without losing control
Capture Point Mechanics
The throne works like an automated capture point:
Gaining Control
Stand on or control the throne area to progress toward capture.
Losing Control
If you lose control of the point, the 10-minute hold timer resets.
Win/Lose Conditions
Attackers Win
If the attackers hold the throne for 10 uninterrupted minutes within the 60-minute window, they win and take the crown.
Defenders Win
If the attackers fail to hold the throne for 10 minutes before time runs out, the defending guild keeps the crown.
Siege Preparation
Victory in a siege isn't just about combat skill — your guild's preparation can make the difference between winning and losing.
Equipment
Better weapons, armor, and accessories mean more damage dealt and better survivability. Make sure your guild members are well-equipped before the siege begins.
Food & Supplies
Stock up on food to keep your guild sustained over long fights. Running out of supplies mid-siege can be devastating.
Team Roles & Diversity
A well-rounded guild has a significant advantage. Consider assigning roles:
- Crafters — Focus on making weapons and armor
- Support — Prepare healing and buff foods
- Fighters — Front-line combatants for the siege itself
Summary
- Sieges are guild vs. guild battles for the crown
- Sieges take place in the main game map, not on battlegrounds
- Attackers get 60 minutes to attempt to take the throne
- Attackers must hold the throne for 10 minutes straight to win
- Defenders win by preventing this for the full 60 minutes
- Preparation, gear, and coordination are just as important as combat skills
